Lincoln Charter Township, in granting this permit, specifically disclaims any liability for, and assumes no responsibility for the activity hereby permitted.

According to Lincoln Charter Township Burning Ordinance Number 13-02, you may have an open fire to burn small quantities of leaves, grass clippings and brush.

1. You must have a burning permit.
2.  You must attend your fire at all times and have a water supply available, if possible.
3. Consider the weather conditions before burning. If the wind is strong or in a direction that may be a nuisance to others, please consider burning at a later date.
4. You may use a burner which meets Ordinance requirements in construction and is placed no less than fifteen feet from any building, structure or property line.
5. No person shall burn anything that gives a foul or offensive odors, or which violates the Michigan Air Pollution Act of 1965.
6. The Fire Chief or his designated agent has the authority to extinguish any fire considered unsafe or a nuisance.
7. Burning with a permit is allowed from the hours of 8 am to 6 pm.

You are responsible for any and all damages caused by the fire you start.
