LINCOLN CHARTER TOWNSHIP PART-TIME SUMMER MAINT.

Summary:

This position is under the supervision of the maintenance supervisor and township staff. Would perform various cleaning and basic maintenance of the Township owned park pavilions at the Community Center and North Lake Park.

Length of Employment:

Employment is seasonal part-time from May-end of August. Days of work will mainly be Fridays- Mondays, with the occasional day during the week. The work schedule will be varied depending on rentals but will be primarily during the hours of 7:00 am -3:00 pm.

Responsibilities and essential duties:

  • Clean facilities after each rental event
  • Clean restrooms at facilities after each event
  • Restock supplies at facilities
  • Complete rental checklist and return to Township Staff
  • Perform other duties as assigned at rental facilities

Required Minimal Qualifications:

  • 16 years of age or older
  • A valid driver’s license
  • Transportation
  • Must have ability to work independently, problem solve and follow multiple directions
  • Availability for flexible and intermittent work schedule
  • Good character with no history of serious criminal activity
  • General good health and ability to perform the essentials of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee sit, stand, kneel, and stoop. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions
  • Ability to effectively communicate with public and co-workers
LINCOLN CHARTER TOWNSHIP SEASONAL SUMMER MAINTENANCE

Summary:

This position is under the supervision of the maintenance supervisor and full-time maintenance staff. Would Perform general maintenance duties at the buildings, parks, beaches and cemeteries owned by the Township.

Length of Employment:

Employment is seasonal part-time from May-end of October.  A specific work schedule will be established and will require some weekend and holiday work.

Responsibilities and essential duties:

  • Mowing
  • Weed whacking
  • Perform general maintenance duties at the buildings, parks, beaches and cemeteries owned by the Township
  • Cleaning restrooms at sports and recreation facilities
  • Pick up and maintain associated parks and building outside areas
  • Empty trash at sports and recreation facilities
  • Check assigned tools and equipment for needed maintenance and repair

Required Minimal Qualifications:

  • 16 years of age or older
  • A valid driver’s license
  • Previous experience is preferred, but not required
  • Experience in the use of small engine equipment and landscaping tools. Examples include but not limited to; grass trimmers, backpack blowers, walk-behind mowers, etc.

DEPUTY TREASURER

Job Description
Assisting the treasurer with tax collection duties.  The major job responsibilities will involve mailing tax bills, collecting taxes through our BS&A system, drawer balancing and reconciling taxes on a daily basis, making deposits, working with excel spreadsheets by keeping daily, monthly and semi-monthly records. Getting semi-monthly distributions ready for distributions, checking and depositing clerk deposits and working closely with township residents about property tax information.

Other responsibilities will include answering phone calls, assisting customers at the counter, helping out other departments when not busy with treasury items, ordering office supplies and doing someadministrative duties.

Essential qualities include excellent customer service, exceptional attention to detail, able to work on your own, cash balancing, love working with numbers, efficient with calculators, good phone skills, and ability to work well with other department heads. Knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel) is strongly preferred.
